Clay Travis gushes over night with Donald Trump and Elon Musk at NCAA Wrestling Championships

Outkick founder Clay Travis was treated to an ‘awesome’ night with Donald Trump and Elon Musk after jetting with the pair to Philadelphia for the NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Trump attended the college wrestling event at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night with an entourage that included Musk, congressman Jim Jordan and chief of staff Susie Wiles as well as Travis.
As he emerged from the bowels of the arena, the president received a standing ovation while waving to fans and pumping his fists, with a smattering of boos largely drowned out by chants of ‘USA’.
Travis, whose conservative news site has joined Trump and his MAGA followers in speaking out against trans athletes in women’s sports of late, received a special invite to join the group on their trip to Philly.
He even flew with Trump and his entourage on Air Force One, sitting down with the 78-year-old for a one-on-one interview during the flight.
‘Thanks to @realDonaldTrump & [White House press secretary] @karolineleavitt for hosting me on Air Force One,’ Travis wrote on X along with a photo of him and Trump on Air Force One. ‘Headed to NCAA Wrestling Tourney in Philly now.’

After the event, the American writer and lawyer also shared a picture of himself and Musk while insisting he had a ‘fantastic day’.
‘Awesome time in Philly for the NCAA Wrestling championships,’ he added in a separate post. ‘Phenomenal event. Great crowd. Cool to see in person.’
After landing at Philadelphia International Airport on Air Force One, Trump and his crew were greeted by Oklahoma senator Markwayne Mullin and his wife Christie before making their way to Wells Fargo Center.
He eventually took his seat in the arena in a VIP section by the mat, where Senator Dave McCormick and his wife Dina Powell were sat next to him.
At one stage of the evening, Penn State wrestler Carter Starocci made a beeline for Trump just moments after becoming the first-ever five-time national champion.
And following his historic upset win over reigning Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, Oklahoma State heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson got up off the mat and saluted the president in the crowd.
In the two-plus months since returning to the White House, Trump has attended the Super Bowl in New Orleans and the Daytona 500 in Florida, where his motorcade drove a portion of the track. While president-elect he also went to a UFC fight in New York.
