Who hasn’t over indulged at some point and felt immensely bloated? Well, one doctor may have a fix for that.
Dr. Felice Chan, a Chinese medicine doctor, shared how she eliminates bloating – declaring it her ‘favorite trick.’
In a video posted to TikTok, Dr. Chan explained she is currently on vacation, and overate to the point of feeling a little bloated.
The Los Angeles based acupuncturist then shared the acupressure point to hit but shared that it is nowhere near the stomach.
‘The point is called “stomach 36” on your leg,’ Dr. Chan explained, adding its location is about ‘four fingers width below your lateral knee.’
To find the right spot, the Dr. Chan demonstrated what to do on your own leg, starting with finding the ‘fall right into depression of the tibia.’
She then says to massage the area for about three to five minutes.
‘It will help de-bloat,’ she assured viewers.

‘Your body processes all the food you ate and you’re gonna feel better – give this a try,’ she urged.
A 2022 review published in the National Library of Medicine found that acupuncture at ‘stomach 36’ has ‘clinical benefits in relieving inflammation through several mechanisms.’
Western medical acupuncture is the use of acupuncture following a medical diagnosis. It involves stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles.
This results in the body producing natural substances, such as pain-relieving endorphins.
It’s likely that these naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.
There may be other solutions to achieve a flatter stomach after a vacation though.
Earlier in the year, a fitness influencer went viral after sharing her daily one-minute workout that she insists gave her a ‘flat stomach.’
The exercise guru, known as Dora Fit online, went viral after she shared a video of herself showing off the simple, 60-second move that she does every day to stay in shape.

Dora, from New York City, who has created her own line of athleisure wear called Pretty in Pink, posted the clip to Instagram back in December, but it recently resurfaced.
It showed her laying on a yoga mat with her legs straight out but slightly off the ground.
She then bent her knees and lifted them to her chest before straightening her legs again, without ever letting them touch the ground.
Lastly, she spread them apart before bringing them back together. She repeated the entire process over and over again for one minute.
‘Add this to your routine, one of the best ab exercises,’ she added in the caption.
People in the comment section said they tried it out, and many were pleased by the results.
