Chinese cargo planes carrying air defense systems have been spotted in Serbia

Six cargo planes of the Air Force of the People’s Liberation Army of China were seen flying over the territory of Serbia last weekend.

The South China Morning Post reported that in this way Beijing secretly supplies Belgrade with HQ-22 anti-aircraft missile (SAM) systems.

According to some media reports, planes bearing military banners were seen at Belgrade Airport bearing the name of Nikola Tesla.

The Serbian Ministry of Defense has not commented on these speculations, while some experts are confident in the veracity of the claim that there is a secret agreement between the parties.

Analysts expressed fears that against the background of a special operation in Ukraine, arming Belgrade would lead to an escalation of the conflict in other regions.

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that his country will not join any military blocs and will continue to maintain military neutrality.
