China protests Biden’s statement on readiness to defend Taiwan

China has strongly protested to the United States over US President Joe Biden’s statement on the readiness to defend Taiwan if necessary.

According to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Wenbin, China expresses strong dissatisfaction and strong protest against the statement of the US side. “Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of China,” a ministry spokesman said.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry also urged the United States to be careful in its statements and actions on the Taiwan issue.

As Wen Bin pointed out, Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People’s Republic of China. Meanwhile, Wen Bin concluded that China will take “decisive measures to safeguard its sovereignty.”

The question of Taiwan has remained open since 1949, when the Communist People’s Republic of China was proclaimed, and part of the ruling Kuomintang Party established power in Taiwan.

Earlier, the Chinese authorities accused the United States of not complying with the “one China” principle.
