Beijing, August 4 (WAM) – The death toll from a landslide in China has risen to at least eight, with 19 others still missing.
A sudden landslide in Sichuan Province (southwest of the country) caused the collapse of a bridge on a highway linking two tunnels, killing 11 people who were in four cars. One person was rescued, while the bodies of two people were found and eight are still missing.
The landslide hit the village of Redi, located next to the bridge, killing six people and leaving 11 others missing.
