Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, witnessed, today, Wednesday, several activities for children, in a number of schools in the Asmarat region, as part of celebrations of childhood holidays.

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati explained that the council implemented several activities during the day, which included the “Dawa” initiative, and included implementing a number of storytelling circles with children at a school. Long Live Misr (1) Preparatory School in Asmarat, as well as activities for the National Child Empowerment Initiative (Bakra Bina Initiative) to raise awareness of children’s rights, in addition to special activities for the Safe Internet Initiative to raise awareness of the dangers of the Internet and how children deal with those risks and confront the threats to which they may be exposed.
Al-Sunbati added that the activities also included implementing an eye medical convoy in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Al-Rehab to examine the eyes of children in schools and dispense glasses. Medical care for cases that required it, as the convoy examined 104 children, 33 glasses were issued, while 6 cases were transferred to hospitals for surgical interventions, in addition to recreational and educational activities for students of Tahya Misr (5) Primary School in cooperation with the Takatuf Association for Development. p>
"Al-Sunbati" confirmed, The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood pays great attention to supporting children in all parts of the Republic and participating in their celebrations of Children’s Day, especially in the areas most cared for. She thanked Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, for his support and participation today in the activities carried out in Asmarat, noting that this is the beginning of continuous cooperation with the governorate in order to raise awareness. On children’s rights, developing their skills, and participating with all partner agencies with the aim of providing health care for children.
For his part, Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber praised Cairo, with the activities carried out in Asmarat and the efforts of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood in supporting and protecting the Egyptian child, praising the happiness he found for the children during their interaction with the implemented educational and awareness-raising activities, calling for the replication of such activities in many other areas of the governorate in a way that contributes to raising children’s awareness of their rights and preparing future generations. A distinguished future.
The children of Tahya Misr (1) Preparatory School and Tahya Misr School presented their presentations. (5) Primary School presented several artistic and singing performances during the celebration that was held on the sidelines of those activities carried out by the Council.
The celebrations were attended by Dr. Mireille Nassim, member of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Takatuf Association, and Dr. Nour Osama, member of the National Council for Childhood.
