In his pre-match press conference, Enzo Maresca told the media that his side need a response to last week’s result against Man City.

“We need a good performance to try to win the game, but not because it’s after the City game – it’s because we try to always do the same. It would be a good moment to get three points, especially at home.

“In all the games, we’ve had chances to score. We’ve struggled with results but the performances have been there. In some games, the performance has not been there for 95-100 minutes, which you need.

“The big difference in the past games has been inside the box. We’ve conceded goals we can avoid and not scored goals that in different moments we will score.”

On tonight’s opponents, he added: “I have watched the games with Graham in charge and you can see they try to be very aggressive. It will be a tough game, like always.”

Chelsea have won 31 Premier League matches against West Ham, second only to their 36 victories against Tottenham.

However, Enzo Maresca’s side have one win in their last seven matches.

West Ham have won just two of their past eight league games.
