Someone could become Oz Lotto’s biggest ever individual winner if they are lucky enough to take the entire prize from Tuesday’s $70million draw for themselves.
Oz Lotto’s $70m Draw 1615 was called at 9.30pm AEST and one lucky punter is about to be tens of millions of dollars richer if they picked the right numbers.
The draw closed at 7.30pm AEST on Tuesday and thousands of players rushed in to grab any last-minute tickets while they still could.
An estimated one in five Aussies got their hands on a ticket before entries closed.
The winning numbers were 44, 33,24, 3, 34, 36 and 42. The supplementary numbers were 1, 5 and 10.
This jackpot is Oz Lotto’s biggest in more than a year and the fourth highest prize pool in its 31-year history.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said if a single person wins the entire prize they will be crowned Oz Lotto’s biggest individual lottery winner ever.
‘We anticipate a rush across the country as Aussies vie for the chance to score the biggest jackpot of any Australian lottery game this year and become 2025’s first Oz Lotto multi-millionaire,’ she said.
OzLotto’s $70million Draw 1615 were called and now officials are looking for their lucky winners.
‘This is the time when office chatter turns into work syndicates, and everyone becomes a dreamer, plotting how they’d spend a share of the $70 million prize.
‘The last time we saw a $70 million Oz lotto draw was in December 2023 when the peak of sales was at 6.35pm on the day of the draw when more than 4,113 tickets were sold in a single minute.’
In December 2024 one man from Burra, 153km north of Adelaide, won $50million after becoming the sole division one winner.
Unfortunately officials had trouble tracking him down as the man had not registered his winning ticket.
Ms Hobdell warned other players after that fiasco to always register their tickets in order to not miss out on the call of a lifetime.
‘By registering your in-store or online ticket to The Lott Members Club, we can contact you straight after the draw should you win big on Tuesday night,’ she said.
‘Be sure to take your phone off silent and pick up immediately if you see your phone light up with an incoming call on Tuesday night. It could be lottery officials calling with life-changing news!’
Hot and cold numbers in the lotto consist of the most frequent and least frequent winning drawn numbers.
Oz Lotto’s best hot numbers are 47, 21, 28 and 33, while the ‘coldest’ numbers include 34, 26, 45 and 43.
The winning numbers for the draw are: 3, 24, 33, 34, 36, 42 and 44. The supplementary numbers are: 1, 5 and 10.
