Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley has been fighting a continuous war of words with the women of San Antonio, Texas for over a decade.
The ‘Inside the NBA’ panelist has used his mockery against the ‘big ol’ women’ of San Antonio for years – to the point where it’s become a running joke.
So this weekend, when Barkley made the trip to the city to cover the 2025 Final Four, he couldn’t help but crack the joke again.
Barkley got on-stage at one of the free concerts put on by the NCAA for the major basketball event and couldn’t help himself.
As he thanked the crowd at the ‘Capital One JamFest,’ Barkley received some boos from those in attendance.
‘Listen, San Antonio is a great city,’ Barkley began. ‘I want to say this: y’all are a great city, I love Gregg Popovich and the Spurs.
‘No seriously, San Antonio, y’all put on a major, major great show. And I want to say this: thank you, thank you, thank you. And yes, y’all got some big b*****s here.’
Charles Barkley once again made a joke about the ‘big women’ of San Antonio, Texas

At the Final Four in San Antonio, Barkley joked at a concert that the city had ‘big b*****s here’
Laughs and cheers rang out among the crowd who had gathered to see the Brothers Osborne, Benson Boone, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Chris Stapleton throughout the day Sunday.
Barkley’s long-running gag with the city has been silent in the past few years. The former NBA big man says he was told in 2021 to stop joking about the subject.
‘The Round Mound of Rebound’ claimed in an interview that cancel culture would be to blame for the request to tone it down.
Barkley said, ‘You can’t even have fun nowadays without these jackasses trying to get you canceled and things like that.’
But internet memes about the joke have kept the ‘big ol’ women’ gag alive and well among fans of the NBA.
Barkley ended his time in San Antonio late Monday evening on the desk at CBS Sports as he watched the Florida Gators come from 12 points down to beat the Houston Cougars to win their third national title.
Just a few days prior, Barkley watched as that same Florida team knocked off his beloved Auburn Tigers in the Final Four.
Now, Barkley returns to ‘Inside’ to cover the rest of the NBA season and end the show’s final run with TNT.
