Celebrities Vote on Election Day

With Election Day underway, plenty of Hollywood figures are encouraging fans to vote and showing off their “I Voted” stickers.

They’re also passing along messages of hope and activism, as well as some important tips for voters. Eva Longoria reminded citizens to request a paper ballot if voting machines are down, and that if polls close while a voter is in line, they still have the right to vote.

Wrapped in a giant American flag, Wonder Woman herself Lynda Carter urged women to unite and vote for reproductive freedom. Meanwhile, Sharon Stone cheered “Oh yes oh yes oh yes she can!”

Sheryl Lee Ralph reminded fans that “Your vote is private,” a message heard frequently in the past few weeks as Democrats work to assure women that it’s fine to keep their votes confidential and vote for a different candidate than their partners.

Alec Baldwin posted on Instagram, saying, “Make America Unafraid Again. Reasonable again. Kind Again. Admired again.”

Though celebrities including Jon Voight, Mel Gibson and Drea de Matteo have endorsed Trump, there were fewer Republicans encouraging voters on Election Day. But “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider turned out for early voting, writing last week “Time to vote America! It feels good.”
