Carabao Cup fourth-round draw LIVE – Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool to learn next opponents
The draw for the Carabao Cup fourth round is set to take place at the culmination of the clash between Liverpool and West Ham at Anfield on Wednesday night – the last of the scheduled fixtures in the third round, which has been spread over two midweeks.
However, one more game will need to be played out to complete the round, after AFC Wimbledon’s meeting with Newcastle was postponed after flooding and pitch damage.
All of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are into the fourth round safely, while Arsenal face Bolton on Wednesday evening too, looking to book their own spot in the next stage of the competition. Liverpool were last year’s winners – then under Jurgen Klopp – and the Reds hold the record for most League Cup wins, too, with ten.

FT: Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
More from Jota and Jones, with Jota adding that Liverpool “have just one defeat”.
“We are still progressing, still developing our ideas – but only by winning games you become better, so we are happy.
“It’s hard but we want to win again obviously, we are the reigning champions.”
Jones says that “it’s been hard” being left out this season, but “I just want to play”.
“I’m back playing games. We’ve got a big team, a quality team as well. We can change the whole team, and play well and win, and we did that”.

FULL-TIME! Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Jota and Jones are speaking to Sky after the game, and the Portuguese starts by saying that the game “was completely different” to what the scoreline suggested.
“We scored a couple when they were down to 10 men.
“I think they made it hard for us, it was a good game in general and we’re just happy to go through.”
“It’s important getting that equaliser as quickly as possible,” he adds.
“To score at Anfield, it’s always special so happy to help the team.”

FULL-TIME! Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
So, a dominant display from Liverpool who were nearly flawless in their 5-1 dismantling of West Ham.
The red card for Alvarez certainly helped, and the away side had caused a few problems for a much-changed home defence, but Quansah, Gomez and co. held them off for long enough for the attacking unit to do the damage.
The draw for the fourth round is expected at around 10.20pm BST.

GOAL! Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
GOAL! Gakpo has a deserved second.
The Dutchman picks up the ball on the edge of the box, turns Kudus and cuts inside. He hits a low effort from just inside the box, and it takes a deflection off Todibo and creeps into the bottom corner.

Liverpool 4-1 West Ham
There’ll be five minutes of added time here. Liverpool look for a fifth, with Gakpo bursting into the box again, but his low shot is right at Fabianski this time.

GOAL! A deserved one for Gakpo.
The Dutchman picks the ball up on the left wing and comes inside, exchanging passes with Nunez before rifling in a low shot that beats Fabainski at the near post.

Liverpool 3-1 West Ham
A liverpool corner comes to nothing and the match looks like it’s done, with the home side quickly winning it back and happy to pass around the back four.
There’s time for one more though…
