California’s State Capitol buildings have been evacuated due to a bomb threat.
All state senators and their staff have been told to leave the buildings in Sacramento while authorities determine whether the threat is legitimate or not.
State Senator Susan Rubio confirmed everyone was told to leave the building.
Workers were told to work from home and Governor Gavin Newsom has been reported safe, according to ABC News reporter Alex Stone.
Newsom is ‘far away from [the] area,’ according to Stone.
California Highway Patrol is searching the building for any threats.
