Cairo Governor: Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is a distinguished institution that holds a great place in the hearts of all Egyptians
Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber praised the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as a beacon of knowledge, science and community participation, and its role in spreading and preserving the call, stressing that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is a venerable institution that has a great place in the hearts of all Egyptians; for its educational and awareness role.
This came during the visit of the Cairo Governor, today, Monday, to His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, at the headquarters of the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar in Al-Darasa, within the framework of the close relations that link Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the governorate and aim to cooperate and participate in the interest of citizens.
The Governor said that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif presented a wonderful model of the unity and cohesion of the nation, praising the purposeful role played by Al-Azhar under the leadership of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb; To spread and instill the values and concepts of moderation, tolerance and brotherhood among members of society, especially the youth.
He added that the continuation of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif for more than a thousand years is due to its moderate approach and its distance from extremism and fanaticism, which is why it has occupied a great place in the hearts of Muslims all over the world.
He explained that the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as a mosque and university is not limited to spreading religious values and the tolerant teachings of Islam, but rather goes beyond that to being a leading global Islamic educational system that contributes effectively to achieving peace and moderation.
