Cairo Governor: 30 additional environmentally friendly buses to accommodate the large number of guests of the Urban Forum
The Governor of Cairo, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, directed the payment of 30 additional environmentally friendly passenger buses (buses) from the fleet of the Cairo Public Transport Authority; To accommodate the densities of World Urban Forum guests; Due to the strong demand from the forum’s guests to attend the events; Bringing the volume of buses allocated by the governorate to serve the forum’s guests to 130 “buses.” It can be increased.
The Governor of Cairo confirmed – according to a statement today, Tuesday – that the Cairo Public Transport Authority is ready to provide any numbers to serve the forum’s visitors when needed.
He indicated that an operations room has been formed for the governorate. Within the forum to follow up on the logistical procedures for the forum’s guests, and meet them immediately. The field follow-up room in the governorate also monitors the regularity of work around the clock at the nine main stations designated by the Public Transport Authority for the launch of… "Buses" Directly from it to the event venue without stopping at any other stations, with a transit time of up to 10 minutes at peak times, which are (Third Settlement – Mohandiseen – Stadium – Sheraton – Abdel Moneim Riad – Al Abbasiya – Maadi – Dream Park – Settlement First).
The governor noted that all buses allocated by Cairo Governorate from the Public Transport Authority provide free service to transport forum attendees.
