Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Hospitals Board of Directors, announced a new achievement added to the series of successes achieved by the college, as the National Accreditation Council (EGAC) recommended accrediting the microbiology laboratory and the myeloid pathology laboratory at the Abu Al-Rish “Japanese” Children’s Hospital. Under the supervision of Dr. Nisreen Al-Gharabawi, Head of the Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology.
The evaluation team and the quality team expressed their great appreciation for the exceptional efforts made by the work team in both laboratories, especially since the evaluation process was carried out based on the new international standard “2022 Edition”, which requires all international laboratories to adhere to it before the end of 2025.
However, the two laboratories succeeded in achieving these standards a full year ahead of schedule, which is considered a pioneering achievement that deserves praise and appreciation.
It should be noted that the myeloid pathology laboratory obtained its first accreditation since 2018, while the microbiology laboratory has been accredited since 2022. In addition, the chemical pathology laboratories affiliated with the Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology at Manial University Hospital were the first in the country to implement the new standard.
