Bryson DeChambeau sends golf fans wild with shocking decision ahead of Masters showdown with Rory McIlroy

One night before one of the biggest rounds of golf of his life at The Masters, Bryson DeChambeau spent around an hour in a random backyard using a putting green not affiliated with Augusta National.
The story, as told by Colt Knost on the CBS broadcast, said DeChambeau went for a walk one night during the tournament around the neighborhood where he’s renting a house during the Masters after the third round.
DeChambeau randomly spotted a group in their backyard with a putting green. The LIV Golf star did not keep walking. He stopped by and spent an hour putting in a stranger’s backyard.
The story comes more into focus when it was shared by NHL Hall of Famer Jeremy Roenick, an avid golfer in his own regard.
It is unclear whether Roenick and DeChambeau have met before as two huge competitors from different eras in separate sports.
It’s safe to say DeChambeau is not out of practice, especially in the middle of arguably the most prestigious tournament of the year.

The story of DeChambeau’s putting spree emerged the same day ESPN reported a similar occurrence on Friday night. It’s not clear whether it’s the same incident or whether it happened multiple times.
ESPN reported 64-year-old Paul Pearman was the owner of the home where DeChambeau wandered on Friday.
DeChambeau introduced himself at that time, assuming someone with a putting green in their backyard, and living in one of the most famous golf towns in America, knew who he was.
Pearman reportedly responded ‘Nice to meet you, I’m Jack Nicklaus.’ The actual Golden Bear was nowhere in sight as Pearman is 21 years the junior of one of the greatest golfers of all-time.
Since its original mention on the broadcast, the story of DeChambeau walking around has not been mentioned again.
