Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann has been accused of motor vehicle theft.
The 29-year-old is listed for a plea hearing before Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
Mr Lehrmann has been charged with ‘motor vehicle stealing’ and appeared via vieo link before Magistrate Reg Marron about 9:30am.
It is alleged he stole a Toyota Prado from a property in the Huon Valley area in Tasmania’s south on November 20 last year, reported news.com.au.
Sydney lawyer Zali Burrows, who was seen with Mr Lehrmann in Hobart in October, is representing him and appeared via video from NSW.
He did not enter a plea and the matter was adjourned until June 19.
Mr Lehrmann is well-acquainted with the courts’ system.
Last year, Federal Court Justice Michael Lee found he had raped his former colleague Brittany Higgins in March 2019.
