Brother comes to the rescue of his sister – as strange man does the unthinkable on Aussie road

A woman driving alone narrowly escaped danger when an aggressive stranger tried to force her off the road, before her brother came to the rescue.

The woman was driving behind her brother’s ute when a man suddenly jumped in front of her car along Ruttleys Rd in Wyee, on the NSW Central Coast.

Disturbing footage captured the man as he signalled the brother to continue driving while attempting to get the woman to pull over.

‘Old mate in the video let my brother go but indicated for me to pull over and started to come towards the car,’ she said.

‘My brother saw what was happening and jumped out of the car, but the man instantly became aggressive.’

The strange man charged directly at him the moment his brother stepped out of the ute, and the two immediately began exchanging blows.

During the scuffle, the brother repeatedly gestured toward his sister’s car, seemingly questioning why the stranger had tried to force her to pull over.

‘I was on the phone to police as I was going around them,’ she said.

‘He also tried telling my brother that he was a cop as I drove past.

‘My brother managed to get back into his ute.’

Aussies applauded the brother for intervening and theorised about the stranger’s motives.

‘He was probably going to carjack you since he let the guys go. I I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if your brother wasn’t there,’ one wrote.

‘She is lucky, she could have been car jacked. Old mate saw she was a female and wanted to take her car,’ another said.

‘That’s when you find the accelerator pedal, that guy looks nothing like a cop and has no right to direct traffic. Keep your doors locked ladies,’ another said.

A car of the same make, model and colour was involved in a police chase in Wyee later on Saturday, however it is unclear if it was the same car and driver.

NSW Police officers began pursuing a white SUV Jeep after it failed to stop when signalled about 2.15pm.

Several police cars joined the pursuit of the Jeep through Budgewoi towards the Lake Munmorah area.

The vehicle was finally stopped after officers deployed road spikes near the intersection of Flowers Rd at Catherine Hill Bay on the Pacific Highway.

The alleged driver of the Jeep, a 46-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted NSW Police for comment.
