Britney Spears has worrying meltdown after ‘jealous’ friends criticize her looks amid latest break-up

Britney Spears had a worrying meltdown as she slammed her ‘fake friends’ for criticizing her looks.

On Tuesday, Spears, 43, took to Instagram to share a message for people who have something to say about her appearance. 

The pop star — who has reportedly split from ex-felon boyfriend Paul Soliz, 37, for a second time — wrote a lengthy caption addressing people trolling her in response to a previous, since-deleted post of hers. 

A couple of days earlier, she sparked fan concern with a reel of herself showcasing her chipped nails and messy beach waves. 

In her rant, the singer accused people including trolls for making fun of her hair and said she found herself ‘beautiful.’ 

She also said ‘fake’ people ‘who said they were my best friend’ are only changing up how they treat her because they are ‘so jealous’ of her. 

At the beginning, she shared that she was feeling ‘so d*** excited’ for the spring season.

She then addressed people who wrote ‘the incredibly sad comments that say that I look bad’ and said: ‘I feel so sorry for you guys.’ 

‘I thought my hair was beautiful and I do have a cold and it has affected my voice,’ she said as she explained why she was talking with a slight British accent. 

The Toxic singer also claimed that she would not be able to travel past the southern border for a few months as she was ‘held back.’ 

‘And I have been held back from going to Mexico for four months and since flying and traveling is the main thing for my health and well-being, I do have a small virus,’ she continued.

‘They will do anything to keep me from living my life and in my highest manner,’ she wrote. ‘I feel sorry for people like that.’ 

At the end, she concluded: ‘Hopefully we can all be kind to one another.’ 

She later shared another post and explained in the caption that she had a ‘serious cold’ recently but is feeling ‘better.’

Over the weekend, she sparked concern after posting a video of herself talking with a British accent and talking about her nails. 

Fans made comments about her teeth looking different and also about the way she was talking ‘like a little child.’ 

Earlier on Tuesday it was reported that Spears split from her boyfriend Soliz for a second time.

The pop superstar broke things off with Soliz around Valentine’s Day in February, according to a source who spoke with TMZ.

The former pair previously split in July 2024, before briefly reconciling in February.

The specific reason for the couple’s breakup is currently unknown. Sources close to them indicated that this time, the split is permanent.

Paul reportedly removed his personal belongings from the singer’s residence in the Los Angeles area, where they had been living together.

Back in May of last year, Spears notably sparked mental health concerns when she was pictured barefoot outside of the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood following an alleged fight with Paul.

Paul and Britney first connected in 2023 when he began working at her home in a housekeeping and maintenance capacity.

Over time, things became more serious, and Britney was even pictured spending time with Paul’s children at an indoor playground.

In February, the two were pictured together seven moths after their first split, following her reported ‘fears he was using her for clout.’

The Baby One More Time singer joined him and two of his kids at Lily Pad Playground in the San Fernando Valley.

In a photo obtained by TMZ, Britney could be seen sitting in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes G-Wagon outside of the indoor playground.

According to insiders, the luxurious SUV is the same vehicle that the songstress bought for Paul after dating for only one month.

Following the outing at the indoor playground, the Toxic hitmaker reportedly paid the bill before the group headed to their next destination.

Spears has been spotted with a number of Paul’s children in other outings, and in August 2024, she enjoyed time with them at Sky Zone in Thousand Oaks.

Late last year in October, Paul’s wife of eight years Nicole Mancilla filed for divorce after he was previously called a ‘deadbeat dad’ of his nine children.

Back in July of last year, a source informed TMZ that Spears and Soliz had broken up and stated, ‘Britney and Paul split around three weeks ago.’

‘And they were done once the singer realized her former maintenance worker-turned-boyfriend was only using her for the luxurious lifestyle.’

The star had made the decision to split with the ex-felon after seeing his ‘true colors’ and also removed his name from the entry list to her lavish mansion.

Another reason behind the breakup was due to Britney’s own children: sons Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18 – whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A separate insider told DailyMail.com, ‘She chose her children and her well-being over Paul. They did not get along and, in fact, he did not treat her how she deserves to be treated.’

‘He was nothing but a rebound and she recognizes this. But she has contact with her children again and this is what is most important to her.’

‘She also saw how Paul was a deadbeat dad and this was a major turnoff for her. But, before anything, she knew that staying with him would only lead her down a dark path. His history speaks for itself.’

In May, Spears sparked fears following an incident at the Chateau Marmont. At the time, the pair were spotted at the iconic hotel as the pop star was escorted towards emergency services.

Sources told Us Weekly that close friends of Britney are ‘wary of Paul’s intentions’ while one insider added, ‘They don’t think he’s a good fit for her.’

Her on-and-off romance with the ex-felon comes after her divorce from Sam Asghari.

The pair had tied the knot in 2022, but after only 14 months of marriage he filed for divorce – and they reached a settlement in May 2024.

This comes after director Jon M. Chu shut down ongoing speculation about the biopic about Spears, which is still in the developmental stage with Universal Pictures. 

The Wicked filmmaker shut down speculation over whether Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Millie Bobby Brown, Sydney Sweeney, Addison Rae among many more were in contention to play the semi-retired pop star. 

‘None of this is true,’ he tweeted in late March. 

‘Sounds exciting but have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet. We are way to early in development. Sorry.’
