The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said on Tuesday that the way forward in the Middle East is largely agreed upon, which is an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Borrell stressed, via the “X” platform, that everyone who stands in the way of de-escalation in the Middle East must be held accountable, warning that the region is on the cusp of “a war of unknown dimensions”.
He added that “tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East… and everyone must prevent another catastrophe”.
