A body has been found dumped and wrapped in plastic in bushland near Sydney Airport.
A member of the public discovered the body at Foreshore Rd in Botany, early on Monday morning.
‘A police operation is underway in bushes off Foreshore Road, at Botany, following reports of a body located,’ a NSW Police spokesperson said.
‘Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command are being assisted by specialist officers from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
‘A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced. No further information available at this time.’
Foreshore Road runs southeast from Sydney Airport along Botany Bay, with the large Sir Joseph Banks Park on its northern side.
