The United States believes that Russia may attack Ukraine on February 15. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing officials familiar with the situation.
According to the agency, Russia may attempt a provocation in the Donbass or try to seize Kiev. It is noteworthy that hostilities may begin on Tuesday 15 February.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia could attack Ukraine at any time, including during the Olympics.
The West has repeatedly accused Russia of an imminent “invasion” of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has increased its presence in the border areas with Ukraine – up to 125,000 soldiers.
Moscow denies all the accusations and asserts that any movement of troops across the country is a sovereign matter.
NATO and its allies think otherwise and are preparing a package of sanctions in the event of an invasion.
