Best and worst Super Bowl 2025 commercials ranked

Super Bowl 2025 commercials are bigger and better than ever before, with popular name brands booking huge A-list talent in a bid to advertise their goods.

With the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Philadelphia Eagles today, several high-profile companies from Dunkin Donuts to Hellmann’s and Uber Eats are capitalizing on the huge viewing numbers to draw in new customers.

And naturally, only the biggest names in showbiz feature.

Tom Brady, Barry Keoghan, Kris Jenner, Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth are just a few of the celebrities who make appearances in this year’s Super Bowl offerings – not to mention the long overdue reunion of When Harry Met Sally cast mates Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.

Here, DailyMail.com puts a lens on some of the best… and worst Super Bowl 2025 commercials starring famous faces.

Best Super Bowl ads

Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal for Hellmann’s

Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal recreated an iconic scene from When Harry Met Sally… for a Hellmann’s commercial set to air during Super Bowl LIX.

It’s been 36 years since the pair originated the roles of Sally Albright and Harry Burns in Rob Reiner’s beloved rom-com penned by Nora Ephron, which earned rave reviews and $92.8M at the global box office.

In the 60-second spot, the 63-year-old rom-com queen and the 76-year-old legendary comedian returned to Katz’s Deli in Manhattan’s Lower East Side to dine on sandwiches.

‘I can’t believe they let us back in this place,’ Billy marveled.

Meg replied: ‘Why? Nobody remembers that.’

Ryan (born Margaret Hyra) realized she forgot to put Hellmann’s mayonnaise on her sandwich, and once she does she begins to make noises in pleasure.

Sydney Sweeney featured after the iconic duo, who teased their reunion, to recite one of the most well-known lines from the film: ‘I’ll have what she’s having.’

Fans went wild over the advert, with one exclaiming: ‘LOVE this confirmation that Harry and Sally are still together!’

‘Absolutely hilarious and a nice memory to go along with it,’ said another, while a third enthused: ‘This made my heart so incredibly happy.’

Barry Keoghan for Squarespace

Barry Keoghan reunited with the donkey from The Banshees Of Inisherin for the Super Bowl 2025 ad campaign

Barry Keoghan reunited with the donkey from The Banshees Of Inisherin for the Super Bowl 2025 ad campaign.

The actor, 32, appeared alongside the donkey – called Don Mosley – who was in need of a website to support his budding acting career.

Saltburn star Barry turned to Squarespace to create the site, saying to Don: ‘Hey this is big Mosley, big game commercial. Old Hollywood, eh darling?

‘You’re gonna need a publicist aren’t you? A publicist and an agent. Have you got a website? I’ll get you a website. I know the one.’

Deciding on the domain name, he added: ‘Donkey.actor, no, that could be any actor. No you’re right, DonMosley.com.’

The actor is then seen creating the website for the donkey and, satisfied with the results, says: ‘Ok, that’s alright. Website, yeah? I think you’re good.’

Viewers have hailed the ad the ‘best commercial of the year’ on social media, with others branding it ‘amazing’ and a ‘very good campaign.’

Paris Hilton for Frank’s Red Hot

Two things are known for being hot: Hot sauce and Paris Hilton. And that’s what Frank’s Red Hot did in their Super Bowl commercial.

It opens in a baby pink kitchen with Paris bedazzling her Frank’s bottle with red gems.

Surrounded by game day favorites like wings and potato skins, she said she puts ‘that s**t on everyone’ and asked viewers how they use the red hot product.

‘Loves it,’ she added. ‘That’s not just hot, that’s red hot.’

Since the commercial dropped, many fans have been begging for Paris to head up a cooking show.

‘We love cooking with Paris,’ one said, while another begged: ‘We need a Paris cooking show with your besties!’

A third observed: ‘You’re a joy to watch!’

Gordon Ramsay and Pete Davidson for HexClad pans

Chef Gordon Ramsay faces his toughest kitchen yet in HexClad pans’ Super Bowl commercial.

A new alien species visits Earth…and they’re hungry. So naturally, top leaders call on the only man for the job and give him HexClad cookware to rustle up something special.

Before he gets to work though, Gordon is introduced to alien ambassador Pete Davidson who reveals ‘all famous people are aliens’.

Fans were tickled by the ad and praised the unexpected partnership of Gordon and Pete.

One said: ‘Gordon Ramsey’s commercials are getting better and better.’

‘Hilarious, Gordon can’t act to save his life but I seem to love everything he does!’ raved another, while a third wrote: ‘Gordon Ramsay and Pete Davidson, an unlikely duo but I’m here for it.’

Timothy Simons for Coors Light

Nobody Wants This actor Timothy Simons is front and center in Coors Light’s advert.

Playing himself, the star repeatedly forgot his lines while filming a commercial for the brand, much to the annoyance of the director.

Eventually, he’s given a crate of The Mondays Light, the beer’s new moniker to celebrate the Super Bowl.

The idea behind the move has to do with the dreaded day after The Big Game, so Coors –Mondays Light – is hoping to give people a reason to celebrate for that dreaded Monday.

Again, this advert went down a storm, with fans even going as far as declaring it ‘Oscar-worthy’.

Taking to Instagram, one shared: ‘Now that made me laugh!’

‘Whoever made this casting choice is genius,’ wrote another.

A third said: ‘Brilliant! Oscar-worthy!’

Ben and Casey Affleck and Jeremy Strong for Dunkin Donuts – plus Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend

Dunkin brought back Ben Affleck for another iconic ad as it tells views to ‘suit up, America’, this time with his brother Casey and Succession star Jeremy Strong.

Dressed in bright orange Dunkin jackets, the brothers stood outside a dressing room discussing Jeremy’s method acting.

Casey told his brother that Jeremy was doing his research to become a DunKing.

After a small sibling spat, Ben barged into Jeremy’s dressing room, only to find him bathing in a bucket of beans.

‘What are you doing in there?’ he asked.

‘We’re doing a Dunkin Donuts commercial, right? I’m trying to find the character.’

When asked how long it would take to find it, Jeremy said at least three hours.

In the commercial, former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick also made an appearance, alongside his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Houston.

The two were decked out in orange and pink Dunkin’ gear.

It’s fair to say that Jeremy commanded the most attention from viewers.

‘Because of Jeremy, tomorrow I’ll getting half a dozen,’ one admitted on X.

‘Jeremy ain’t even playing and that’s the funniest part,’ another wrote as a third added: ‘Jeremy’s sense of humor is unmatched.’

Walter Goggins for GoDaddy

GoDaddy featured one of its customer’s businesses, Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses, in its ad this year.

The White Lotus actor’s business makes sunglasses that look similar to ski goggles but are meant to be worn anywhere.

‘Wow, these orders keep coming in,’ he stressed as he went through several cups of coffee to keep up.

‘I’ve got glasses for everybody in America… What’s up mister one-thousandth sale!’

The commercial was an instant hit with viewers who were captivated by Walter.

‘I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted goggles before in my life, but for some reason I do now,’ one cheekily wrote on Instagram.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘And all of a sudden, I’m into watching ads…’

‘Walt needs to advertise everything!’ another demanded.

Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez for Häagen-Dazs

Häagen-Dazs made its Super Bowl commercial debut roping in Fast and Furious stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez to help.

The ad focuses on the ‘not so fast, not so furious’ lifestyle and the pair were seen enjoying a vanilla milk chocolate almond ice cream bar.

As Michelle bit into the dessert, the car she was in slowed down, and the pair soaked in the view from the coastal highway.

Then out of nowhere, Ludacris rolled up and asked: ‘Hey, what happened to the fast life?’

‘Not today,’ Vin replied.

And it seems as though the commercial will rope in a lot of sales for the brand, with viewers admitting that it made them crave ice cream.

‘Mmmmm I love that ice cream!’ one enthused as another confessed, ‘I want to eat Häagen-Dazs.’

A third simply wrote: ‘Hungry.’

Kieran Culkin for NerdWallet

Succession alum Kieran Culkin lends his voice to NerdWallet’s big game commercial, playing none other than a beluga whale.

In the hilarious clip, Kieran’s whale stole a tourist’s phone and refused to give it back until he’s told him about NerdWallet’s ‘genius’, which will be available on Sunday to help consumers find the right credit card.

The ad was a giant success with watchers, who eagerly revealed on YouTube that they ‘love it’.

‘I do not regret clicking on this ad,’ said one, while another wrote: ‘You see companies THIS is how you advertise, THIS is how you advertise.’

Juno Temple and Myles Garrett for Oikos Greek Yogurt

Footballer Myles Garrett and actress Juno Temple paired up for a humorous Oikos Greek Yogurt ad.

Set in an airport, Myles, who is nursing a broken leg, frets he won’t be able to make his flight in time.

Luckily for him Juno was on standby and instructed him to hold her Greek yogurt while he jumped on her shoulders and ran with him to his gate.

Although the ad has yet to garner much of a response online, those who have seen it have described it as ‘brilliant’ and ‘so good.’

Matthew McConaughey, Martha Stewart, Charli XCX, Kevin Bacon and Greta Gerwig for Uber Eats

Uber Eats has gone all out with its Super Bowl commercial offerings, casting a bunch of A-list talent to hype up the brand for a variety of ads.

In one ad, Matthew McConaughey is convinced that the Super Bowl was invented just to sell food and investigates the origins of football and it’s suspicious link to a conspiracy spanning centuries.

And… we think he might be onto something.

Many threw support behind the clip, hailing it ‘creative’ and ‘quintessentially’ Super Bowl.

Writing on YouTube, one enthused: ‘Now this is the Super Bowl commercials I have been looking forward to. So creative and funny.’

‘This is a quintessential Super Bowl commercial lol,’ exclaimed another. ‘I mean that as a compliment!’

‘Amazing commercial,’ a third praised. ‘Creative, funny and exactly what I want to see on Super Bowl.’

David Beckham and Matt Damon for Stella Artois

David Beckham learned that Hollywood legend Matt Damon was his long-lost brother in a series of Super Bowl adverts for Stella Artois.

The ‘David and Dave’ commercial features the British ex-footballer, who is the beer brand’s global ambassador, and the brand’s longtime poster boy Matt as the ‘other David’.

In the new ad, David is seen ringing the doorbell of his brother’s impressive US home and the A-lister answers the door, confirming he is ‘Beckham, Dave Beckham’.

Leading him to his backyard, Matt introduces David to buffalo wings, only for the Brit to get confused, asking ‘you eat buffalo?’

The brothers find some common ground though when Matt is tossed an American football and he kicks it, Beckham-style, out of the yard.

The ad has been praised far and wise for being ‘genuinely funny’, with one writing on YouTube: ‘That was brilliant!’

‘This is hysterical,’ laughed another. ‘BEST Beer Commercial!!

Catherine O’Hara And Willem Dafoe for Michelob Ultra

Emmy Award winner Catherine O’Hara and Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe got their pickleball on in a commercial for Michelob Ultra.

The 60-second offering saw the unassuming duo hustle their way to beating the competition on the courts to win copious pints of the beer.

And viewers couldn’t get enough of the pair and have confessed to watching it on repeat.

‘This is one of the best commercials I’ve seen in a long time, I have watched it like seven times in a row already,’ one said.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another agreed: ‘Had to watch this commercial again comedy GOLD.’

Bad Bunny, Michael Shannon and Aubrey Plaza for Ritz

Aubrey Plaza and Michael Shannon tried to outdo each other with their saltiness in Ritz’s first ever Super Bowl commercial, which is aptly set in the fictional Ritz Salty Club in Utah’s salt flats.

After going back and forth over their candor, Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio, grabbed their attention for breaking the rules of Salty Club, where one must not smile, with a huge grin on his face.

As the duo worried that Bad Bunny’s upbeat behavior would get them kicked out, he stunned them with his magic tricks and produces Ritz crackers out of thin air.

‘I already liked Ritz, but now I like it even more,’ one viewer said. ‘I guess this ad worked really well.’

‘Had to see it twice,’ said a second.

Another branded the commercial ‘iconic’ adding that it was ‘time for a trip to the grocery store’.

Post Malone, Shane Gillis, and Peyton Manning for Bud Light

Post Malone and Shane Gillis teamed up to get the cul-de-sac party going in Bud Light’s advert.

In a desperate bid to turn Peyton Manning’s ‘lame’ party around, they used leaf blowers to shoot cans of beer to neighboring houses, encouraging fellow residents to join them for a knees up.

The spot is meant to pay tribute ‘to those neighborhood parties that are happening across every backyard, every cul-de-sac in America’.

Like the other beer ads, Bud Light’s commercial has delighted viewers across the country.

‘Damn. The return of classic beer commercials… the world is healing,’ said one.

‘Feels like a good ole commercial,’ another agreed. ‘Well done Bud Light.’

A third enthused: ‘I think I speak for everyone when I say, THIS IS AMAZING!’

Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg for Foundation to Combat Antisemitism

Snoop Dogg and Super Bowl champion Tom Brady get into an intense argument for the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism’s ad.

‘I hate you because we from different neighborhoods,’ Snoop began.

‘I hate you because you look different,’ Tom shot back.

The volleys continued until the rapper stopped and said: ‘Man, I hate that things are so bad that we have to do a commercial about it.’

Many found the commercial to be extremely impactful, expressing their views on X.

‘This is a fantastic ad!’ one person wrote.

Another agreed, ‘How refreshing to see famous people doing the right thing.’

Worst Super Bowl ads:

Kris Jenner, Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth for Ray-Ban Meta glasses

Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Kris Jenner took on the art world in Ray-Ban Meta glasses’ commercial.

From decoding bizarre art to a $6million banana fiasco, the two Chris’s found themselves in a spot of bother.

And just as the going got tough, momager Kris showed up to deliver one last surprise: ‘Hey Meta, who eats art?’

Sadly, this ad fell flat with viewers who called it ‘trash’.

Writing on YouTube, one said: ‘Wow what a terrible take on an old meme. And why is Kris Jenner there? Who invited her there? Like get out.’

Another blasted: ‘Just wanted to verify that this ad is trash…I was not let down.’

Others were simply amused that it starred three Chrises.

Shania Twain for Coffee Mate

Although coffee may not seem like the drink of choice for a sporting event, Coffee Mate wants you to think otherwise this year.

Their ad, which is only 11 seconds long, features a young man drinking an iced coffee while watching a game at home.

While he sat on his couch, he used the brand’s new cold foam to enhance his drink.

Shania Twain sings the Gimme Cold Foam lyrics that play during the ad.

Unfortunately, many couldn’t make sense of Shania’s lyrics for the ad and questioned what she was signing.

‘MAKES ME WANNA WHAT?’ one wrote, while another asked: ‘What is she saying?’

A third noted: ‘I heard chloroform and that’s all I can hear.’

Antonio Banderas for Bosch

Antonio Banderas effortlessly opened a jar of pickles for his buddy Macho Man Randy Savage in Bosch’s Big Game offering.

The Babygirl actor showed off his strength when the muscly wrestler struggled to twist off the lid.

However, viewers were more than a little uncomfortable that Bosch had hired an actor to play the Macho Man, who died in 2011 aged 58, and questioned the lack of respect.

Taking to Instagram, one asked: ‘So we just flat out imitate dead celebrities, now?’

‘Not Macho Man,’ another wrote. ‘Wtf? Respect the dead.’

‘Making money off a dead man’s character is wild,’ said a third.

Echoing a similar sentiment, a fourth admitted: ‘I don’t get this? Knowing he’s dead what’s the point in hiring an impersonator? This seems like an odd thing to do.’

Issa Rae for TurboTax

Issa Rae helmed TurboTax’s Super Bowl advert and questions why, in 2025, people are still filing their taxes ‘the hard way’.

After racing to get to her accountant’s office with all her expenses exploding from a cardboard box only to find that they had relocated, the Insecure actress had found a much easier solution.

‘Now taxes is getting a TurboTax expert who does everything for you,’ she said with a grin from the comfort of a sun lounger.

While it was always going to be a struggle for a tax-based software business to entertain audiences, many used the ad’s release to vent about customer service.

Taking to X, one said: ‘This year I keep trying to log in, but it keeps saying ‘There’s a problem on our end, we’ll get right on it’

‘Could you stop it with the insane volume email spam? I’ll do my taxes when I’m ready,’ another slammed.

Drew Barrymore & Orlando Bloom for MSC Cruises

During the first half of the game, talk show host Drew Barrymore and actor Orlando Bloom starred in a commercial together for MSC Cruises.

The two were seen sharing dinner and singing together on the piano.

The commercial drew a hilarious reaction from users on X, who were confused at the pairing.

‘I don’t understand why Orlando Bloom is on vacation with Drew Barrymore and not Katy Perry,’ one person wrote.

Another agreed, ‘Orlando Bloom and Drew Barrymore need Super Bowl cruise commercial money.’

‘Orlando Bloom/Drew Barrymore ad sucked. Where are the funny ones??’ someone else typed.
