Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffers injury scare after nasty blow to the head in Steelers showdown
Joe Burrow’s head smashed into the turf after the Bengals quarterback was sacked in a worrying moment against the Steelers.
During the third quarter of Saturday’s showdown, Burrow was sacked by two Steelers defenders with a huge chunk of turf lodged in the crown of his helmet.
He was driven into the ground, with his head hitting the turf first. The quarterback did not immediately get up and was given medical attention before heading to the tent.
Eventually, Burrow did run off the field on his own power and headed straight for the blue medical tent.
After a few moments in the tent and being checked for a concussion, Burrow was cleared and allowed to return to the game.
Burrow did now miss any game action as the scary moment happened on a third down, with the Bengals punting the ball on the next play.
