Becky G has released a new music video for her single “Otro Capítulo” (“Next Chapter”), a focus track of her new album, “Encuentros.” This is the second música mexicana album Becky has released, also the follow-up to her 2023 collection, “Esquinas,” which included collaborations with Peso Pluma, Ivan Cornejo, DannyLux and other música mexicana stars.
“My last album ‘Esquinas’ started a fire within my creative soul that brought new colors to my world and deep down inside I knew I couldn’t stop there… So I didn’t,” Becky wrote in a social media post announcing “Encuentros.”
She continued, “Since last year, I continued discovering, feeling, healing and creating. All of the parts of me that I found along the way, I have now poured into this album with so much love and dedication. You guys said you wanted more, and so did I. Por las Esquinas de la vida, nos Encontramos otra vez (‘On each corner of life, we’ll find each other again‘).”
The “Otro Capítulo” music video was filmed in Los Angeles, with cameos from Becky’s family and local businesses including fashion brand Ghetto Rodeo, Bravo’s Charburgers, Veronica’s Kitchen and many more. The new 16-song album was released Thursday via Kemosabe Records/Sony Music Latin/RCA Records, and features 16 tracks with collaborations from rising artists Tito Double P, Oscar Maydon, Delilah and Óscar Ortiz.
Her fourth studio LP comes shortly after the announcement of new tour dates in continuation of her first-ever headlining tour, “Casa Gomez.” Now dubbed “Casa Gomez: Otro Capítulo (Another Chapter),” Becky will visit Mexican-American communities across the United States, starting off in Chicago, Illinois, in addition to 14 other stops in cities including Milwaukee, San Antonio, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, and San Diego.
