Two months after Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs first shared he was battling prostate cancer, he has undergone his last treatment for the disease.
Boggs shared the update on his health on social media a little more than two months after he told the world about his upcoming bout with cancer.
Boggs, 66, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005, receding nearly 92 percent of votes on his first year on the ballot.
‘Praise God! Had my last treatment this morning now it’s in the hands of God. Can’t thank my family, friends and my fans for your continued support throughout this difficult time. Also my wonderful team at Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute,’ Boggs said on social media.

Celebrities such as Larry The Cable Guy and John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield sent him well wishes over social media as well.

Boggs is likely best known for his 10-year stint with the Boston Red Sox and eventually signed with their archrivals, the New York Yankees, before the start of the 1993 season.
After helping the Yankees win the World Series in 1996, Boggs spent the final two years of his career with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Boggs had his jersey retired by both the Red Sox and the Rays and has been inducted into both teams’ Hall of Fames.
Boggs is widely considered one of the best third baseman of all-time, alongside George Brett, Mike Schmidt, and Brooks Robinson.
