Australia’s breathtaking act of kindness for heartbroken daughters of renowned Sydney sculptor Dion Horstmans who was found dead in his Bondi garden

More than $40,000 has been raised for the grieving daughters of a celebrated Sydney artist who died suddenly.
Dion Horstmans died on Saturday afternoon at his home in south Bondi in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, leaving his family heartbroken.
Daily Mail Australia understands police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances after the father-of-two’s body was found at his home on Forest Knoll Avenue.
The GoFundMe to support daughters Juna and Zaza was launched by Mr Horstmans’ partner, psychologist Jo Mooney, and raised $40,000-plus in two days.
The couple were both long-time residents of the beachside suburb but were not believed to be living together at the time of his death.
Ms Mooney said in the appeal that she hopes the fundraiser will keep his legacy alive, and has a target of raising $110,000 for his children.
‘All donations, no matter the size, will go directly to his family to help them through this difficult time,’ she said.
‘Your kindness will not only support his daughters but also ensure that Dion’s legacy continues to inspire future generations.’
