Augie turns 4! Princess Eugenie celebrates her oldest son’s birthday with cute post, telling him he’s ‘full of adventure’
Princess Eugenie has wished her eldest son August a happy fourth birthday with a montage of photos on her Instagram account.
The 34-year-old royal who shares her oldest son with husband Jack Brooksbank, described, August, known as ‘Augie’, as ‘full of adventure and speed’ in a doting post.
The family snaps saw the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson holding her son, and him holding a gold 4 balloon.
The youngster is seen wearing a Top Gun style jacket and trainers, and he clearly likes life in the fast lane.
Augie, who born on February 9 2021, is also seen with his younger brother, Ernest, in several of the snaps, and enjoying a variety of pursuits including tennis and cycling.
The caption which accompanied the photos, none of which showed her sons faces, read: ‘Happy birthday my darling Augie. 4 today. And what an amazing 4 years.’
She added: ‘You are so incredibly focused and inquisitive and full of adventure and speed. Can’t wait for all our adventures…so many more to come. I love you my boy, my angel.’
Eugenie chose the classic hit by Daryl Hall & John Oates, You Make My Dreams (Come True), to provide the soundtrack to the post.
Perhaps the best gift Augie got this year was the recent birth of his new cousin to Eugenie’s older sister Beatrice.

The princess, 36, welcomed her second daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 41, on January 22 at 12.57pm.
Athena becomes the third child in Beatrice and Edo’s brood alongside Wolfie, eight, from Edo’s former engagement to Dara Huang, and Beatrice’s three-year-old daughter Sienna.
The baby was born several weeks early and is 11th in line to the throne, pushing her aunt Princess Eugenie down to 12th place.
Having previously described their relationship as ‘the best of friends’, it is likely that Eugenie has been spending invaluable time with her sister in the post-partum period.
As a mother-of-two herself, she may have also been roped into the less glamorous duties that come hand-in-hand with a newborn.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are said to have been left delighted after their daughter Princess Beatrice welcomed her second child.
Sarah Ferguson said she’s ‘overflowing with joy’ following the birth of Athena, who is the former couple’s fourth grandchild, and sweetly referred to her ‘5-a-side team’.
In a tender Instagram post alongside a picture of the new baby, the grandmother-of-four wrote: ‘Overflowing with love and joy to be able to welcome Athena Elizabeth Rose into the world.
‘She is already so adored and I’m incredibly blessed to be a Granny once again. So proud of Edo, Beatrice and the rest of my little 5-a-side team!’
The birth of Athena was announced by Buckingham Palace on January 29.
In an Instagram post, the Palace wrote: ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm.
‘The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
‘The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family, have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
‘Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

He shared a photograph of Athena wrapped in a blanket, with the caption: ‘Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.
‘Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.’
Edo, 41, also posted on Instagram to reveal his new daughter was ‘tiny and absolutely perfect’.

Athena is the fourth grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. Their others include Princess Eugenie’s sons August, three, and Ernest, one, whom she shares with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
