Aston Villa want Marcus Rashford: Premier League side ‘join the race for Man United star’ as boss Unai Emery ‘makes personal request’ to land Old Trafford wantaway ahead of Jhon Duran’s exit

Aston Villa have entered the race for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Villa could pursue a move for Rashford with Jhon Duran set to leave the club for Al-Nassr.

Rashford, who has been frozen out by Ruben Amorim at United, has been the subject of strong interest from Barcelona ahead of a potential loan move.

However, such a deal now appears unlikely, with Barcelona feeling that the move is ‘almost off’ due to concerns over Financial Fair Play rules. 

Villa boss Unai Emery has reportedly made a ‘personal request’ for the signing of Rashford. 

Villa have told forward Ollie Watkins that he isn’t for sale after Arsenal had an offer rejected.

Meanwhile, Villa transfer chief Monchi has said that the club are interested in Chelsea forward Joao Felix and PSG’s Marco Asensio.
