Right, before we get tucked into the juicy stuff tonight, let’s rewind to look at what happened in the Premier League yesterday.
I mean, it was an absolutely bonkers night of footie.
Arsenal have not had much to cheer about in 2025, so far, but without even playing it was a great day for them.
League leaders Liverpool dropped points for the second game running as in-form Nottingham Forest held them to a 1-1 draw in what was a cracking affair at the City Ground.
It means their lead over Arsenal now stands at seven points and the Gunners could cut that down to four with a win this evening. It feels like we may have a title race on our hands. How exciting is that?
Somehow, that was the game with the least goals in the evening.
There was a nutty game at Stamford Bridge. Bournemouth thought they had secured a massive three points after coming from behind to lead Chelsea in the second half.
But then came substitute Reece James. The Chelsea captain returned to league action with a stunning free-kick to save the day for Chelsea in stoppage time.
Meanwhile, just a few miles away, Brentford produced a comeback of their own to earn a miraculous point against the champions Manchester City.
With ten minutes to go, a Phil Foden brace had seemingly done the job for City. They looked back to their best. But late goals from both Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard sent the Gtech stadium absolutely bonkers, leaving Pep Guardiola speechless.
And last but not least, let’s talk about the West Ham game.
Graham Potter’s tenure back in the Premier League got off to the perfect start as his side managed to squeeze past Fulham in a five-goal thriller.
Got all that? If you haven’t, then I can’t help you.
