Arsenal Fan TV presenter Robbie Lyle reveals ‘nature’s ozempic’ is behind his remarkable body transformation – and Michael Owen’s using it too

AFTV presenter Robbie Lyle has credited ‘nature’s ozempic’ for his dramatic weight loss in recent weeks.
Ozempic has been the latest celebrity craze in recent months with many – such as Oprah Winfrey and Kathy Bates – turning to it to aid in their fitness journey’s.
However, Lyle has joined a smaller contingent of stars who have, instead, turned to ‘nature’s ozempic’ which is more commonly known as berberine.
As per MedLine, berberine helps strengthen the heartbeat and can also kill bacteria, help regulate how the body uses sugar in the blood and help reduce swelling.
It’s one of the key components within supplements made by wellness brand Oxford Natural, which Lyle has used to help undergo his impressive body transformation.
Speaking in a video for the brand’s Instagram account, Lyle explained: ‘Robbie here! Listen, I just want to big up Dr Andre and also big up all of the guys over there at Oxford Natural Clinic.

The AFTV star took to Instagram to sing his praises about Oxford Natural’s supplements
‘These supplements have really been helping me! The Optimum Day, the Optimum Night. This one really helps me to get a good night sleep.
‘This one’s really been helping me balance my diet, helping me with my metabolism and I tell you what, I’ve lost a lot of weight.
‘I feel really good. I’m training, I’m eating well and these supplements have really, really helped me. So, big up to them!’
Fans have already been quick to notice the body transformation of Lyle, with one posting a side-by-side comparison of the presenter months apart. The caption read: ‘Fair play to Robbie on his weight loss’.
According to Oxford Natural’s website, the supplements will supposedly ‘provide enhanced weight management control, optimised metabolism, and blood sugar support’.
Berberine has been a fixture in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years to treat myriad conditions including pink eye, itchy skin, high blood sugar, and urinary tract infections, among other bacterial infections.
As well as Lyle, former Liverpool star Michael Owen is another ex-pro who has endorsed the Oxford Natural products.
In a quote on their website, Owen claims that he’s lost ‘over 15kg’ since taking the supplements.
In a clip, he said: ‘Hey guys, I just want to say thanks to Oxford Natural Clinic. Since I’ve been on their programme with Dr Andre, I’ve lost 15kg. Quite a transformation!’

Berberine is derived from the barberry plant, shown here. Its berries, rich in berberine, are also thought to have antioxidant properties
Ozempic, meanwhile, mimics glucagon-like peptide-1, or GLP-1, a hormone released by the gut when you eat. It turns off hunger signals in the brain and stimulates the pancreas to release insulin – a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels.
When it comes to Ozempic, many private doctors follow the same principle of not prescribing it solely for weight loss, but some are prepared to prescribe it for non-diabetics.
In the last few years, more and more people have decided to take the type 2 diabetes drug, which allows them to easily shed weight they openly struggled with for decades but can cause yet-to-be-known long-term effects such as pancreatitis.
Celebrities who have admitted to taking semaglutide drugs include Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Lauren Manzo, Dolores Catania, and Golnesa ‘GG’ Gharachedaghi.
