An armed clash broke out between Iranian border forces and the Taliban on the border with Afghanistan.
“A few minutes ago, a clash occurred between the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Taliban forces near the city of Khairmand,” said Maysam Barazandi, head of Helmand (Khairmand) district in Sistan and Baluchestan province.
The head of the region confirmed that clashes are continuing between the border guards and the Taliban group.
Speaking about the potential losses, Barazndi said, “This case is currently under investigation.”
