Morena Farina, the 57-year-old DJ and fitness instructor from Victoria, has once again spilled some major tea with her latest revelations about Married at First Sight (MAFS). The bride, known for her fiery personality, made an unexpected appearance on Fifi, Fev & Nick’s radio show on The Fox, sharing behind-the-scenes information that has left audiences stunned.
Morena, who’s been paired with 53-year-old charter captain Tony Mojanovski on the show, didn’t mince words when she unexpectedly called in.
“Did you say that MAFS gets better and better?” she asked, before dropping the mic with, “No, no, no. They should really change it. Instead of Married at First Sight, it should really be Disaster at First Sight.”
But that was just the start of it. Morena then served up some major tea, alleging that Tony dropped a bombshell during their honeymoon dinner.
“He sits there and says I’m married. I legit froze,” Morena revealed. Yep, you read that right – she’s claiming Tony was already hitched when he signed up for the experiment.
When quizzed about why this bit of info wasn’t shown on TV, Morena didn’t hold back. “Darling they’re not going to reveal it… they told me, ‘Stop talking, we are not going to air that he’s married,’” she spilled.
Morena claims she tried to bail after the first week, but was pressured to stay. “Because three couples left on the first week. I was going to be the fourth one, and there was going to be no show,” she explained.
Producers allegedly “cornered” her and said that her DJ career would be compromised if she left. “They said, ‘It’s not in your interest to leave, you’re staying.’ I shit myself”, said Morena.
Throughout her surprise radio appearance, Morena kept circling back to one burning question: “Why are you hiding my story?”
“Tony’s not interested in me, and I accept that. Going on Married at First Sight was like going on a bad date; the only difference is it was on-air. The problem that I have is … why are you hiding my story?” she asked.
“Being separated and dating is completely acceptable… but I don’t think it’s right that you go on a show to get married when you’re legally married…”
This isn’t the first time Morena has taken aim at the show’s editing. In a recent Instagram Story, she called out some sneaky dubbing during the commitment ceremony. “I never said ‘Tony open up come and talk to me on a deeper level’ on the couch, I actually said that in my voxy,” she wrote.
“As you can see the camera is not on me when those words come out. This is just hilarious.”
She even accused the show of cutting the best parts of their chat with the experts, claiming: “Ratings would’ve gone sky high tonight if the two topics we really spoke about were aired.”
I’m guessing those topics include Tony’s secret wife.
With Morena and Tony still on the show, one thing is for sure, this MAFS drama is far from over.
