Angel Reese shares verdict on Hailey Van Lith reunion as Sky pick fellow SI Swimsuit model in 2025 WNBA Draft

Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith will be teammates for a second time after the Chicago Sky selected the guard with the No. 11 pick in Monday’s WNBA Draft.
Reese and Van Lith played one season together at LSU, with the pair reaching the Elite Eight with the Lady Tigers before falling to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa.
And while the season also did not go to plan individually for Van Lith, as she shot a college career-low 37.8 percent from the field, Reese seemed thrilled to reunite with her.
‘We ain’t do it right the first time. Let’s run it backkkk,’ Reese wrote on X after Van Lith was selected.
Reese’s post came in response to a post from the Sky, who posted a graphic welcoming the player to Chicago.

Van Lith transferred out of LSU following the 2023-24 season, and spent her final year of eligibility at TCU.
There, she thrived as she scored 17.9 points per night, to go along with 5.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds.
Reese also re-posted a picture of her and Van Lith together at LSU, and responded after the Las Vegas Aces’ Chelsea Gray told fans: ‘Don’t sleep on an 11th pick (she was one herself in 2014).
‘oh we won’t Cap. thank yaaaa,’ Reese relied in reference to Van Lith.
For her part, Van Lith also said she was ‘excited to be around [Reese] again’ and said the pair had been in touch since Reese departed LSU for the WNBA.

‘We have a lot of similarities in how we carry ourselves and our mindset,’ she said. ‘She’s a dog, man. She turns up the intensity of everybody around her.’
Aside from both being former Lady Tigers: there is another thing that Van Lith and Reese have in common: both have modeled for SI Swimsuit.
Reese made her debut for the iconic brand in 2023, while Van Lith graced the digital cover of SI Swimsuit earlier this month ahead of the Draft.
For Van Lith, the honor capped off an impressive campaign, as she was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and helped TCU to its first appearance in the tournament since 2010.
That clearly caught the eye of Reese’s Sky as the team ultimately used a first-round pick to select her on Monday night.
The Sky will began their season against Clark and the Indiana Fever on May 17.
