An urgent decision from the Speaker of the House of Representatives regarding the draft medical liability law

Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, referred at the beginning of the House’s plenary session two draft laws submitted by the government to the specific committees of the House to study them and prepare reports on them. They are:

1- A draft law submitted by the government to issue The law regulating medical liability and patient protection.

It was referred to a joint committee of  The Health Affairs Committee and the offices of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs, Economic Affairs, and Human Rights Committees.

2- A draft law submitted by the government authorizing the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to contract with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, IOC Production B.V., and Apex Company. International Energy Holdings II, to amend the commitment agreement issued by Law No. 171 of 2005, to search for and exploit oil in the East El Obeid region. In Western Sahara.

It was referred to a joint committee of the Energy and Environment Committee and the Office of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee.

The relevant committees were also notified of a letter from the Counselor, the President of the Senate, regarding the conclusions of the Senate’s opinion. By approving the draft law submitted by the government to issue the law regulating medical liability and patient protection.
