Amid interest from Middle Eastern countries, Pakistan is displaying its advanced JF-17 Block III fighter at the Bahrain Exhibition
Arab Defense Website November 17, 2024: The Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder fighter made frequent appearances at the show, with three aircraft in attendance – including one of the last model known as Block III developed by the Pakistan Aviation Complex in Chengdu. .
The state-of-the-art aircraft, operated by the 8th Squadron, or “Hyder”, of the PAF Southern Air Command, was on display in the static display area of Masroor Air Base. It is the second PAF unit to receive the JF-17 Block III, after 16th Squadron.
The latest version of the fighter, powered by the Klimov RD-93 engine, features the KLJ-7A active electronic radar developed by the Nanjing Electronics Technology Research Institute, as well as an increased weapons payload.
