Amal Ammar reviews the national efforts of progress in empowering women and achieving gender equality

It reviews the national efforts of the progress made in empowering women and achieving gender equality, as Egypt worked to empower women by launching the national strategy for women’s empowerment 2030, and in terms of political empowerment and activating the leadership role of women, their participation has been strengthened by increasing their representation in Parliament as it reached 27% in The House of Representatives and 14% in the Senate through the electoral shares system and seats designated for women, as well as assuming many new ministerial portfolios and leadership positions in the state, banks, bodies and private companies.
