Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 is almost at a close with our remaining castmates reuniting for the final Dinner Party of the season. So, to unpack all of the debauchery, here are the most explosive moments from the MAFS 2025 Final Dinner Party.
This article contains Married At First Sight (MAFS) spoilers. It’s up to you if you wanna stay or leave.
After weeks upon weeks of drama, betrayal and lovey-dovey moments, we’ve finally reached the pointy end of MAFS season 12. However, the vibes are unfortunately inconsistent for our remaining couples.
With the inclusion of Final Test Week, and a couple of bombshells that were dropped during Homestays Week and the Final Commitment Ceremony, some of our castmates are unfortunately at breaking point, which leads us to Wednesday night’s explosive extravaganza: the Final Dinner Party.
So, if you unfortunately missed out on the hullabaloo, do NOT worry. I’ve got you covered.
The biggest moments from the Married At First Sight 2025 Final Dinner Party
Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou kick off at the Cocktail Party
Before all the couples could arrive at the Cocktail Party, Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou got into an argument stemming from their decisions to participate in the Final Test Week date.
To give you a quick recap on what the Final Test was, the experts separated our established couples and gave them the option to meet another “potential date”. Unfortunately for this hot and cold couple, they both jumped at the opportunity to meet their “Plan B’s”.
However, it wasn’t the fact that Adrian went on the date that left Awhina upset. It was because he was so nonchalant and didn’t care that his ‘wife’ went on one that worried her.
And unfortunately, this animosity seeped into the Final Dinner Party, which resulted in the pair throwing jabs at each other on the car ride there.
Eventually, things reached boiling point a second time — in front of Jamie Marinos, Dave Hand, Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels at the Cocktail Party — when the pair tried to explain why they went on the Final Test date.
Adrian was trying to say he didn’t go on the date out curiosity, but that was debunked by Awhina and Jamie, Adrian then accused Awhina of not answering Jeff’s question where he asked if she “regretted going on the date”, to which she did… Honestly, it was a whole bunch of rabble, rabble.
Eventually, the argument got to a point where Awhina sat away from Adrian.
“I’m actually not entertaining you right now,” Awhina shared before Adrian snapped back with, “I don’t care”.

What a way to kick things off, amirite?
MAFS‘ most confusing couple ever, Jacqui Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly, appear to be getting their rocks off despite the self-proclaimed groom calling things off last Dinner Party.

Throughout the whole experiment, Jacqui and Ryan were always on and off, with the bride constantly criticising Ryan for not being her perfect match.
But it was Homestays Week that truly pushed this relationship to breaking point!!! You see, Jacqui and Ryan were constantly butting heads over the groom’s lifestyle, and eventually, Ryan’s friends and Jacqui got into a huge argument over her Honesty Letter, where she reveals she’s not too confident in Ryan’s financial health.
After that whole kerfuffle, Ryan said he was “not happy” with Jacqui and opted to write ‘leave’ at the Final Commitment Ceremony. However, Jacqui chose to stay.

Following that Commitment Ceremony conundrum, both couples decided to participate in the Final Test date. While Jacqui seemed to kick it off with her “Plan B” boo — even claiming they exchanged numbers at the end — Ryan felt guilty and invited his ‘wife’ to his apartment to debrief.
During this rendezvous, the pair seemed to make up, leaving their co-stars (and me) stunned. Good for them, I guess?
Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine arrive separately to the Dinner Party
Off the heels of the explosive Final Test Week — in which Paul Antoine opted to go on the Final Test Date out of “curiosity” — Carina Mirabile and Paul arrived at the party separately.
To give you a little background on these two, Paul and Carina were supposed to be one of the “golden couples” of the season. Prior to Paul jumping on the date, the controversial groom admitted to the experts that he had very “strong” feelings for Carina and that he was looking forward to building a future beyond the ouch couch with her.
BUT NOPE. He went on that darn date.
Carina was the first to arrive (dressed to the GODS BTW), revealing what happened between her and Paul. She then revealed that Paul had only texted her “three times” after their major fall-out and never called her.
“Everything we’ve built together, it’s out the window for me,” Carina told producers in a voxie.

When expressing her woes to the group, Rhi pointed out that Paul has made “a lot of mistakes” during their relationship on MAFS, to which Carina emphasised that they “weren’t just little mistakes either”.
Here is a running list of Paul’s problematic moments:
“It’s made me question what is a soul mate? What is a partnership? What is a long-lasting relationship? It’s made me question so many things because I thought I had that with Paul,” she lamented.
Paul Antoine is given the cold shoulder by everyone
In the car ride in, Paul claimed that he “bought her a coffee and a little patisserie in the morning” before the Dinner Party. However, he did not call her, according to Carina.
“Didn’t really hear from her, didn’t even get a thank you,” he shared.
When he finally arrived through those darn wooden, sliding doors, no one got up to say hello. Honestly, it could’ve been an editing thing, but even the experts commented that he wasn’t greeted with “enthusiasm”. Womp, womp.

He then tried to pull Carina in for a private chat but DINNAH WAS SERVED.
Paul Antoine claims he ‘ghosted’ by Carina Mirabile after the Final Test
One of the first issues to be addressed at the Final Dinner Party was, as Teejay Halkias put it, “the elephant in the room” that was Carina and Paul entering separately.
Paul went on to explain the reason behind why he took on the experiment. However, his co-stars were not buying what he was selling, citing all the problematic things he did before Final Test.
“It was just negative things after negative things… I was just sitting there thinking ‘holy shit’ I kinda felt like we were only focusing on the bad. On the wrong tonight and all of the things I did wrong… All the good things I’ve done have been forgotten,” Paul shared in a voxie.

Eventually, Carina shared her piece on the matter, telling Paul that his decision to partake in the date was “real, big deal” for her and that he’s “given her bare minimum”.
Paul continued to apologise and emphasise how “regretful” he was for going on the date.
But despite his please, Carina shared how his words “weren’t good enough”.

“You’re not giving me any form of validation. You could’ve picked up the phone but you chose not to. You didn’t call me; you called the boys, and you obviously got reassurance from the boys, but you didn’t call me. No, you didn’t call me. We’re in the same apartment complex… Surely you’d notice from the other fuck ups you did all I wanted was your affection,” Carina vented before Paul said he was being “fully ghosted” by his ‘wife’.
CUE IN THE FLASHBACKS.
Editors then flashbacked to Carina and Paul’s wedding day, when the bride revealed that she’d been “ghosted” by Paul before they were matched on MAFS.
As a result of that word, Carina brought up their past prior to MAFS and how Paul had ditched her for the boys. AYIYIYI.
Adrian Araouzou says ‘no’ to Final Vows
Going back to Adrian and Awhina, the pair’s dirty laundry is brought to the Dinner Party when the group started asking about their Final Test dates.
However, what seemed to trigger their big blowout argument was when Adrian revealed that his date was from Sydney. You see, distance has been a major factor in Adrian and Awhina’s marriage because Adrian is from Sydney and Awhina’s from Perth.
Adrian went on to say he “feels pressure” to move to Perth for Awhina and her son. However, he doesn’t want to make that decision on the spot.
The controversial groom then began to flip-flop on the possibility of a long-distance relationship with Awhina, confusing the fuck out of everyone, especially Awhina.
“I’m so confused by Adrian. In one stance you go, ‘I could see long distance relationship with Awhina’ and in another instance you go, ‘I’m not sure,’” Awhina shared in a voxie.

However, things reached boiling point for the 50th time when Awhina called Adrian out for not being consistent with how he acts around the group vs her.
“It’s funny this language you are using right now, you didn’t use when you came back to that room that day,” she began.
“I was the one questioning why we did [the date], you didn’t even seem to care. But I feel like there was a lot of questions on my end, a lot of conviction in regards to this task and this long distance relationship, but I feel like you skirted around everything but you come in tonight and you’re like to everyone ‘it was a date and yeah, I regret it and long distance seems to be unachievable right now.’”

At the end of their squabble, Awhina asked Adrian, “do you see any point going to Final Vows?”
“No. Absolutely, right at this instance, no. A big no,” Adrian replied before Awhina left the table in tears.
There ya have it! The final Dinner Party of MAFS 2025. But don’t be too sad. We’ve still got the Reunion Dinner Party to conquer…
