Alexandria Governor: 99.2% completion in the second phase of implementing the 100 Million Trees Initiative

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria, confirmed that (61,322) trees had been planted, with a completion rate of 99.2% since the start of the second phase, in addition to (10,728) being planted through the governorate’s own efforts, within the framework of implementing the second phase of the presidential initiative, “Planting 100 Million Trees.”

The governor directed to increase green areas and prepare a clear plan to plant new roads and roads and plant trees in public parks, schools and hospitals in all neighborhoods of the governorate, in order to reduce environmental pollution and to be a natural outlet for citizens.

In implementation of this, the General Administration of Central Parks planted 4,120 trees in some public roads, main axes and schools, namely (Al-Mahmudiyah Road – Military Police Hospital – Unit 206 Air Defense – Agricultural Associations – Abu Qir Health Unit – Youth Centers – Sanitation Company – Alexandria International Stadium). In addition to planting 7,210 trees in the second Montazah neighborhood in schools (Al-Zaim Vocational Preparatory – Al-Zaim Sadat Primary School – Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Wasel – Mahmoud Abbas – Martyr Muhammad Ramadan – Tousson Industrial Secondary School – Dean Al-Tahawi – Al-Zohour Division), College of Education.

7,000 trees were also planted in the first Montaza neighborhood in Khalil Hamada Park, Dar Al-Hidaya Rijal, and in schools (Ismat Abdel Majeed – Mahmoud Abdel Fattah – Al-Gamasi Secondary School – United 6 – Ihsan Khaled – Helmy Murad), and 7,210 trees were planted in the Sharq neighborhood in the Mustafa Al-Najjar school complex, and a school Smouha Technical Center, Mahmoudiyah Road, the Intellectual Rehabilitation Foundation, Khorshid Cemeteries, Al-Husseiniyah, and university cities. In Smouha, the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque, the Church of the Virgin and Saint Joseph, the Ibrahimiyya School, and the planting of 7,210 trees in the central district of Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital, the Ramadan Hospital, schools, parks and public squares.

Finally; 6,944 trees were planted in the Gharb neighborhood in the Central Islands on the Al-Qabbari Expressway, the fire station’s garden on Al-Max Street, the Salkhana schools, and the private security guards in the Al-Qabbari, and 7,210 trees were planted in the Al-Ajami neighborhood in schools (Musa bin Nusair – Jaafar bin Abi Talib – Abbas Hilmi – School of Intellectual Education) And planting 7,210 trees in the Al-Amriya neighborhood, the first church, cemeteries, and the automated slaughterhouse at Zawia Abdel Qader – Mubarak Residences – Civil Protection Center in Margham – Church of the Great Martyr Mary Girgis – Church of the Virgin and Saint Mary Girgis – Al Hadara Schools – Al Safwa Square – SOS School – Bardawil Park, and planting 7208 trees in the center and city of Burj Al Arab, New Burj Al Arab Passage Administration – Martyr Mahid Al Hawari School – Second District Language School – and Dr. School Hassan Abbas Helmy – and the January 25 School – and the Third District.
