Al-Azhar Mosque preacher: The Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet are the sources of the true strength of this nation and we must adhere to them
The Friday sermon was delivered today at Al-Azhar Mosque by Prof. Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir, Professor of Linguistics at Al-Azhar University, and its topic revolved around “The Secrets and Manifestations of the Journey of Isra and Mi’raj.”
His Eminence Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir said: The Islamic nation celebrates the anniversary of a miracle. The Night Journey and Mi’raj, which is a memory that is dear to souls, dear to hearts, beloved by every lover of God and His Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, but we have to reflect on what it contains. Meanings of sermons, because of the meanings of honoring this nation in the person of its greatest messenger and most honorable prophet, Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him. That is why the miracle of the Night Journey and Mi’raj was so honorable, for it violated the laws of nature and destroyed the laws of humans, and in it the beloved Chosen One, peace and blessings of God be upon him, reached a level that no prophet had ever reached. A messenger and no angel is near. God Almighty said: “Then He approached So he descended. Indeed, it is a great, precious memory that deserves us to recite its remembrance in the ears of our children and those growing up, especially in this time when many of our children do not know anything about this great miracle, and we must all pass on to our children all the lessons and sermons of this great journey to strengthen them. On the truth so that it is not exposed to the winds of doubt that try to tamper with their minds.
The mosque’s preacher explained Al-Azhar said that before this blessed journey, something happened to the Noble Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, that no one would ever imagine. The Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was forced to confront all the fronts of disbelief in Mecca and its environs. He was warred, harmed, and persecuted. They did not leave any path of torment without taking it and pursuing it until it became exhausting. His heart, peace and blessings be upon him, left Mecca, seeking a more fertile land for his calling, and he found in Taif many times more than what he had left in Mecca. Transgression, tyranny, and transgression, and he sat and conversed with his Lord: (O God, to You I complain of the weakness of my strength, my lack of resourcefulness, and my disdain for people… You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy, You are the Lord of the oppressed, and You are my Lord… To whom will You entrust me? To a faraway person who frowns upon me, or to an enemy whose kingdom is my command. If you are not angry with me, I do not care, but your well-being is greater for me.. I seek refuge in the light of your face, to which the darkness has shone, and the affairs of this world and the hereafter have been made right, lest your anger befall me, or your anger befall me. You are the one to admonish until you are satisfied, and there is no power or strength except through You.” He had hardly finished his supplication when God sent to him the Angel of the Mountains and he greeted him, then said: “If you wish, I may close upon them the two woods.” So he said to him: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him: Rather, I hope that God will bring forth from among their descendants those who worship God alone, not associating anything with Him. Mecca, so they closed its gates to him, then a glimmer of hope came to him that night. Our master Gabriel came to him bearing the message from heaven, to begin the journey of the Isra and Mi’raj. So he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, went to Jerusalem and saw the prophets and their mother in prayer, then he ascended to heaven and returned and found his bed still warm as he had left it, explaining We must submit to God’s command and not involve our minds in matters that we have no room for. Addressing a message to those who claim that the Night Journey and Mi’raj are an event that cannot be accepted by reason, they should not measure it by the standard of reason, but rather they should measure it by the standard of one who said: “Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque.” It is He who has blessed all around him that We should show him of Our signs. So God Almighty violated for him the law of time and space. Among His names, the Most High and Majestic, is the one who grasps the expansive, and from that is the grasp of place and the grasp of time. So what happened in the Isra and Mi’raj of the capture and extension of time, the laws of time were violated and the one who violated them is the Beloved Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him. For whom the unseen things have come together The three: the present, the past, and the future. He saw punishments and punishments for actions that had not been forbidden, and he saw what is in Paradise and what is in Hell in honor of him, peace and blessings be upon him. Ascension is hope, and that it does not fall into despair or despair, because the journey of Isra and Ascension is the best evidence of relief after darkness, but first we must turn to God Almighty. And God Almighty, and that we put our trust in Him, taking into account the reasons, because we are an honorable and exalted nation to whom God has bestowed qualities and characteristics that are only granted to the prophets. Therefore, the Truth, Glory be to Him, the Most High, said: “Call upon Me, and I will respond to you.” It is a call to the Islamic nation for the necessity of resorting to God Almighty, and what is happening to innocent people in terms of killing and torture is an ordeal that will be resolved by the grace of God, but we must cling to God in order for God Almighty to achieve victory, “And it is due upon us to support the believers.”
The preacher at Al-Azhar Mosque concluded his speech by saying: No matter the tidal surges that befall the nation, it should not despair or despair. But it must arm itself with faith in God and good trust in Him, for the nation is afflicted, but it has victory, glory, and exaltation in the end because it is the nation of the Qur’an, and the Qur’an is truth, and the Messenger is truth, and truth sickens, but does not die. God Almighty says: “And it is a duty upon Us to help the believers,” emphasizing that The importance of an honest return to the sources of the true strength of this nation They are: the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers.
