Today, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Mosque witnessed the conclusion of the Hadith councils to read the book “Sunan al-Imam Abu Dawud,” which continued over a full year, devoted to reading and contemplating one of the most important books of the Prophet’s Sunnah, with 47 councils that dealt with various aspects of the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his purified Sunnah.
The closing council was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Maabad Abdel Karim, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Dr. Sobhi Abdel Fattah. Rabie, Professor of Hadith and its Sciences at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, Dr. Hani Odeh, Director-General of Al-Azhar Mosque, and an elite group of Al-Azhar scholars and researchers, who took turns reading the hadiths of the Noble Book, in a fruitful conclusion and beginning. New to reading the book “Jami’ al-Imam al-Tirmidhi”.
Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad mentioned that the book “Sunan Abi Dawud” It is considered one of the most important books of the Sunnah of the Prophet, which contains a large collection of noble Prophetic hadiths, arranged into chapters according to their topics. Scholars have paid attention to this book throughout the ages, because of the great benefits it contains in understanding the Islamic religion and applying its provisions.
He pointed out that hadith councils contribute to deepening the understanding of scholars and researchers of the hadiths of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, clarifying their meanings and rulings, promoting the dissemination of Islamic knowledge among students and researchers, and introducing them to The importance of the Prophetic Sunnah, which contributes to enriching the Islamic scientific movement, in addition to linking the past and the present, by linking the hadiths of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to our contemporary reality.
For his part, Dr. confirmed. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, called on Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Mosque to continue organizing such scholarly councils, with the aim of preserving the Islamic heritage and disseminating Islamic knowledge among the nation, which contributes to strengthening Al-Azhar’s position as a scientific and religious authority, pointing to its importance in promoting a deep understanding of the noble Prophet’s hadith.
