Al-Azhar graduates" In Minya, a symposium is held on religions and the rejection of violence and terrorism

The branch of the International Organization of Al-Azhar Graduates in Minya, in cooperation with the Al-Azhar Region and the Minya Preaching Region, held an educational symposium entitled: “Religions and Renouncing Violence and Terrorism,” at the Minya Secondary Institute, sponsored by Dr. Mohamed Hassanein Abdallah, President of the Minya Al-Azhar Region, and Sheikh Essam Mohamed. Hassouna, first representative of the Minya region, and Ahmed Nouh, Secretary-General of the organization’s branch in Minya, and under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Gamal, director of student care. In the Al-Azhar region, and in the presence of His Eminence Sheikh Mahmoud Hussein, Director General of Religious Call and Media, in the Minya Al-Azhar preaching region, and a member of the organization, and Dr. Heba Abu Zeid, at the Egyptian Public Library.

Sheikh Mahmoud Hussein stressed the necessity of combating unconstitutional concepts and ideas. normality, and confronting extremist ideology and terrorism.  During the symposium, he discussed the strategic importance of confronting violence and extremism in all its forms, and the negative impact of these offensive phenomena on the unity of society.

He said: All divine religions reject violence, urge tolerance and reconciliation, and criminalize harm in all its forms, and he reviewed during his speech Some texts contained in the Qur’an, the Torah, and the Bible, which urge acceptance and respect for others, and abhor violence. 

He pointed out that we must have morals The Prophets, and that we adhere to their noble and tolerant morals and ethics, reject violence and terrorism, adhere to noble values ​​and principles, not offend people of other religions, and respect the religious rituals and beliefs of each religion, to avoid the danger of quarrels and strife between followers of different religions, so that peace and prosperity prevail, and order and morals are not disturbed. Public.

 Dr. Heba Abu Zeid urged students not to submit to those with ideas and opinions. Misconceptions, which are the cause of the emergence of violence in all its forms, stressing that all modern wars are wars of ideas, the goal of which is to divide society and spread discord among its sects. Al-Azhar University, and a member of the organization, Al-Nadwa, emphasized the necessity of preserving the basic components of society, security and social peace, because preserving the public rights and duties of individuals, and not violating their feelings, is the correct way to reject violence and terrorism. And extremism.
