After 85 years.. the people of the village of Nazla in Qena celebrate their survival from the plague by offering banquets

Youm7 presented a live broadcast from the village of Al-Nazla in the Nag Hammadi center in Qena Governorate, as the people celebrated an annual tradition for their escape from the plague 85 years ago.

The village witnesses people coming out carrying trays of lunch and banquets and settling in front of the village mosque every year, then eating meals with each other and providing meals to those in need.

Medhat Abbas, a village resident, said that the custom is an annual custom that the people were keen on in the past, when the village suffered dozens of deaths from the plague, and the village people vowed at that time to provide food to the poor after the end of the epidemic.

Abbas explained that the celebration takes place on the last weekend of November, when families, old and young, gather.
