The radar is designed to detect low radar signature (RCS) aerodynamic targets and airframes made of radar-absorbing composite materials, and is intended to track advanced stealth fighters such as the F-35A/B/C and F-22A, which have a radar signature of 0.07 to 0.1 metres. square.
