Abu Dhabi Police wins 7 medals in the Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Jordan

Amman, August 5 (WAM) – The Abu Dhabi Police Jiu-Jitsu Academy won 7 medals (6 gold and 1 silver) in the Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Jordan.

Brigadier Dr. Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Police Sports Council, praised the achievements of Abu Dhabi Police in its sports career and congratulated the Jiu-Jitsu team on the distinguished results it achieved in the championship. He also commended the efforts of the administrative and sports supervisory staff at the Police Sports Education Center in the Competitions and Teams Department.

The championship witnessed the brilliance of the player Ahmed Al-Mashjari (blue belt) by winning two gold medals in the under 62 weight class in the GI category and the NO-GI category. While the player Ahmed Al-Zaabi (purple belt) won two gold medals in the under 56 weight class in the GI category and the NO-GI category.

Player Zayed Al Kathiri, “black belt”, continued the Abu Dhabi Police’s journey of brilliance by winning a new gold medal in the under 69 weight class in the GI category, while player Jaber Al Balushi, “purple belt”, added a gold medal in the under 120 weight class in the GI category and a silver medal in the NO-GI category.
