Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Cultural Counselor Felix Hala, Head of the Cultural and Educational Department at the German Embassy in Cairo, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in mechanisms for implementing joint projects that contribute to developing the educational process and supporting education reform on an ongoing basis, as well as future cooperation opportunities.
Abdul Latif stressed the depth of fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany in all files of the educational process, praising German schools in Egypt and their discipline and quality, as well as their The distinguished level of its graduates.
The Minister explained that the Ministry aims to expand the number of Egyptian-German schools in Egypt to reach 100 schools to represent a qualitative leap in education, as two schools will be started, one on the 6th of October and the other in Badr City, where it will provide… The Ministry of Buildings and Logistical Services, stressing the importance of supporting the German side in operation.
For his part, Felix Hala praised the development witnessed by Egypt in the educational process, Expressing his aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian side to expand German schools in Egypt, he also stressed his country’s keenness to continue strengthening close German-Egyptian relations, with the aim of achieving an educational system that meets the needs of Egyptian society.
In this context, the meeting discussed continuing to support the training of German language teachers in cooperation with the German side, and developing curricula.
This came in the presence of Maha Wissa, project manager and official in the Education and Culture Department of the German Embassy, From the Ministry’s side, Sherine Hamdy is the Minister’s Advisor for International Relations and Agreements, Mona Ayoub is the Minister’s Advisor for the Egyptian-German Schools Initiative, and Ashraf Al-Sayyed is the Ministry’s Legal Advisor.
