A successful conclusion of the International Conference on Rehabilitation, Recovery and Sports Injuries with the participation of 56 local and international experts
The activities of the third edition of the international conference “Rehabilitation and Recovery” were concluded. For athletes, with the participation of a group of experts and medical personnel from 8 countries, including Britain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt, the country organizing the conference.
The conference witnessed a distinguished attendance and multiple activities. ; It included specialized workshops for physiotherapists in Egypt and those working in sports clubs and federations.
These workshops focused on the latest methods of dealing with sports injuries, scientifically rehabilitating players after injury, and prevention methods that reduce the possibility of recurrence of injuries.
The conference witnessed fruitful scientific cooperation with the Egyptian Association of Orthopedics, Arthroscopic and Sports Injuries (EGAa), which played a prominent role in enriching the conference’s activities through specialized scientific sessions. Lectures dealt with the latest developments in orthopedic surgery and endoscopy, as the association contributed to providing distinctive insights into rehabilitation after sports surgeries and the role of endoscopy in diagnosis and treatment.
The third edition of the International Rehabilitation and Recovery Conference included 13 scientific sessions, in which 56 participated. Lecturers, including 12 international lecturers in various specializations, including: " Physical therapy, orthopedics, athletes’ nutrition, public health, ergonomics, biomechanics, occupational therapy, women’s health, and body deformities.” The conference also devoted a session to discussing projects on human ergonomics and scientific research. Which reflects the institution’s interest in scientific research and its importance in developing the profession.
The most prominent recommendations of the conference were to enhance the prevention of sports injuries, through advanced physical examination and the application of preventive programs dedicated to reducing injuries, in addition to specialized nutrition for athletes, and the necessity of guiding athletes to Nutrition experts to ensure a diet that supports athletic performance. The recommendations also included ensuring a safe return to practice through standard standards to avoid recurrence of injuries, and the continuation of specialized workshops such as workshops on sports injuries, biomechanics, and posture rehabilitation.
Dr. Alaa El-Din Abdel Razek, director of the conference, confirmed that the The third witnessed a large turnout from students and graduates, which reflects the continued success of the conference and the keenness of specialists in the field of physical therapy to participate in its activities.
Abdel Razek continued that The main goal of the conference is to develop the medical system in Egypt and make it keep pace with the latest international technologies. For his part, Dr. Rafiq Radwan, President of the Conference, praised the organizational level and the success of the third edition, praising the Egyptian medical competencies that can keep pace with global developments if given the appropriate opportunities.
Radwan stressed that Egypt possesses world-class medical personnel. Egyptian doctors must always be developed and informed of the latest technologies and treatment methods, in order to develop their skills in a way that increases their experience and ultimately reflects on the health of Egyptians in a positive way, which is the ultimate goal.
