A parliamentarian submits a briefing request to the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Health and Higher Education for slapping a student’s university doctor

Representative Amal Salama, a member of the House of Representatives, submitted a briefing request to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, regarding the incident of slapping a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics. The home school at Menoufia University for one of the students.

 

Salama said, in her request for information, that the past days were turbulent after a faculty member slapped a student in front of his colleagues as he left the lecture, which caused It caused a state of severe dissatisfaction, and whatever the motives, the incident completely contradicts university norms and public ethics.

 

Salama added that, on the other hand, and according to the account of witnesses to the incident, the reason It is the student smoking while leaving the lecture, which is also unacceptable, but the behavior of the faculty member cannot be accepted, stressing the need to announce all investigations conducted by Menoufia University with the university professor, and emphasizing the need to reject any behavior that is inconsistent with public morals.

 

Representative Amal Salama called for the need to find a clear mechanism to implement the decisions to ban smoking on university campuses, taking into account that the implementation of the decision includes all new forms of smoking, such as “vaping” and “vaping.” IQOS & others.
