Arab Defense Website November 1, 2024: China revealed the latest… system High-powered laser defense, known as the Red Wing Vanguard (or Striker), specifically designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicle threats.
The Red Wing Vanguard has the ability to generate 3 kilowatts of laser power and is equipped to intercept and neutralize drones within a range of more than one kilometre. The system features a 20mm diameter micro laser dot with a range of 1,000 metres, enhancing its ability to effectively target small, fast-moving unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Red Wing Vanguard can be mounted on various platforms, including unmanned ground vehicles and naval vessels, to provide mobile defense against drones in both urban and battlefield environments.
