A new beginning.. Luxor College of Archeology organizes a symposium on family and community stability.. Pictures

The Faculty of Archeology at Luxor University, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abdel Naeem, Dean of the Faculty, hosted the activities of the symposium “A stable family = a safe society”, with the participation of the Luxor Preaching District, under the patronage of Dr. Sabreen Abdel Galil, President of the University, and within the activities of the Community Awareness Month for university students, and the initiative A new beginning for building humanity, which is supervised by Dr. Hanaa Hamed, Director of the General Administration of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector.

The symposium was opened by Dr. Ezz Arabi Orabi, the college’s dean for community service and environmental development affairs, by welcoming His Eminence Sheikh Abdel Shafi Ali Abu Al-Wafa, the general preacher of the Luxor Center, and then he discussed the presidential initiative, a new beginning for human building, which is a turning point and a bright spot in society. As it aims to build the Egyptian human being in all aspects of life healthily, socially and scientifically, the most important pillars of which are human development and work to consolidate the Egyptian identity. The symposium was held under the supervision of Dr. Ezz Arabi Orabi, the college’s dean for community service and environmental development affairs, and Dr. Reda Atallah, director. The University’s Crafts and Heritage Center.

The symposium was attended by His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Shafi Ali Abu Al-Wafa, who talked about the conditions of engagement and the marriage contract, and that the beginning and basis for building a healthy family, and it must be built on a sound basis and choice, touching on the number of divorce cases that have spread recently and the reasons that lead to divorce. To family disintegration, which leads to divorce, which is initially due to the wrong choice, citing the stories of the righteous before us, and what are the foundations upon which the correct choice of a life partner is made.

He also talked about the reconciliation committees that are held for spouses before divorce, in which the reasons that both partners discussed, which were among the reasons for divorce, are presented so that young people can benefit from them. He urged students to obtain information from its correct source through the preaching and fatwa area in the Luxor Al-Azhar area, and not through websites. The symposium was then concluded by opening the door to dialogue and questions for the youth, which was well received and responded to by them.
